DWH Finance

A Data Warehouse (DWH) for financial reporting represents a collection of data on which a wide range of reports can be generated. These reports can be grouped into three main categories:

  • General Ledger
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable

The General Ledger provides a comprehensive set of data related to entries on accounts. From this dataset, it is possible to extract balance sheets and income statements. You can analyze entries on individual accounts or entire account groups for a specific day or over a period. Accounts are displayed hierarchically, making it easier to both display and select accounts when filtering.

Depending on the ERP system, it's possible to cross-reference customers/suppliers in the view to align analytics with accounts. Available measures include debit and credit sides, amounts, and all measures can be displayed in an additional currency, such as EUR.

DWH debts

A data set that contains all the information about the postings on the vendor card. The lowest level of detail is the document itself, according to which the posting was made. Examples of reports that can be obtained from this data set are accounts payable, late payment, average late payment, supplier balance as of the selected date.

In addition to the total amounts, it is possible to observe the remaining amounts to be paid, the paid part (according to the invoice, for example), the amount due for collection. All amounts can be displayed in an additional reporting currency in addition to the main one.

The suppliers themselves can be grouped by country of origin, by responsible managers, for example.

Among the available filters are documents (grouped by type), dates (documents, maturity) and additionally all amounts can be viewed according to maturity age category.

DWH Receivables

A data set that contains all the information about postings on the customer's card. The lowest level of detail is the document itself, according to which the posting was made. Examples of reports that can be obtained from this data set are customer dues, late payment, average late payment, customer balance as of the selected date.
